AAFEA, Inc. invites you to attend our 2014 Training Workshop: Leading People, September 8th and 9th, 2014 at the Department of State's George C. Marshall Conference Center in Washington DC.
This event features a three-track curriculum focusing on the programs, policies, practices, and processes that promote career-enhancing opportunities and the core subjects critical for becoming a member of the SES. Topics include:
- Prepare for the Executive Interview
- Conflict Management
- Creating Parity for Women
Our workshop leaders include current and retired members of the SES, Ivy League faculty, and corporate executives.
Speakers include Veronica Villalobos (SES), Office of Personnel Management, Director - Office of Diversity and Inclusion; Clarence Johnson (SES), Department of Defense, Director - Diversity Management and Equal Employment Opportunity, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness); Dr. Jarris Taylor (SES), Air Force, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Strategic Integration; and Georgia Coffey (SES), Department of Veterans Affairs, Deputy Secretary for Diversity and Inclusion. Many other distinguished speakers are also scheduled to attend.
This workshop is intended for government employees and military personnel with experience at the GS-13 and above level (or equivalent experience outside the federal government). AAFEA membership is not required to attend the workshop.
Attendees must register in advance in order to attend. Registration closes on September 2nd, 2014; there will be no onsite registration. Only confirmed registrants will be admitted.
