Does AAFEA collect resumes or recruit for the federal government?

AAFEA is a private professional organization. We do not recruit for the US government or maintain resumes. Our mission is to ensure the government develops policies and programs that enhance the opportunities for African Americans in the Senior Executive Service. Please note that as a benefit to our members, AAFEA does distribute information regarding federal vacancies as they occur and we are asked by federal agencies to distribute the information.

How does my organization post a vacancy with AAFEA?

AAFEA's vacancy notification strictly focuses on GS-15 and above Federal positions. If you have any postings that meet this criteria, we would be happy to notify our members. Relevant position announcements should be sent to AAFEA via email. AAFEA will then circulate the announcements to our membership.

How do I become a member of AAFEA?

AAFEA membership is open to GS-13, GS-14, GS-15 and SES professionals. Annual dues for GS-13, GS-14, GS-15 are $100; dues for SES are $125. Please visit our Membership Page for more information.

What is a financial member?

Financial members are those persons whose dues are current and paid in full. All current financial members should have received a certificate indicating that they are members in good standing for the 2010-2011 membership year (April 2010 through March 2011). If you are in doubt regarding your status, please contact us.

Does AAFEA partcipate in the Combined Federal Campaign?

AAFEA, Inc. is pleased to participate in the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The Combined Federal Campaign runs from September 1st through December 15th, providing federal, postal, and military employees an opportunity to support AAFEA and other eligible nonprofits through workplace contributions.

We encourage our members and supporters to choose AAFEA as they consider the CFC list this year. The AAFEA CFC code is 43702. Your support is instrumental to our scholarship, mentoring, and educational outreach programs. Thank you.
